Going to France this summer? Watch your speed.

From today speed limits on many A and B roads in France have changed. Many roads have been reduced from 90 kph to 80 kph.

British drivers in France will need to be quite careful about their speed the new reduced speed equates to 50 mph – which is 10 mph slower than our 60 mph default limit for two-way roads. If you are used to the feel of travelling at 60 mph on country roads, it will be all-too-easy to find yourself being hauled over by the gendarmerie.
