As expected Jaguar has confirmed that it will build the crossover that it previewed in its C-X17 concept car.
As sister company, Land Rover, has seen the SUV market has remained remarkably strong in a difficult market. The new crossover therefore gives Jaguar a chance to capitalise on that strength to build its market position.
The new Jaguar crossover will go on sale in 2016 as the Jaguar F-Pace. Jaguar say it will have class-leading interior space and exceptional dynamics.
Built on Jaguar’s lightweight aluminium vehicle architecture, the new F-Pace will come with four wheel drive.
“We received such an overwhelmingly positive response to the C-X17 concept car last year that we just had to make it a reality,” says Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar.
Jaguar say they will release more information on the Jaguar F-Pace later this year.
