Aston Martin has
released the first official images of its new Cygnet, previously
seen here as a styling mock
up.
Based on the Toyota IQ, the Cygnet is described by Aston Martin as “a creative, environmentally conscious solution, being small, yet with presence”. The aim is to combine fuel efficiency with the prestige and luxury of an Aston Martin.

The idea is that you would keep keep your DBS, DB9 or Vantage for grand touring, but use the Cygnet for your more eco-friendly daily commuting.
Aston Martin say that work on the concept is ongoing and will continue into 2010, but they hope it will become a production reality.
